Baker - Introduction

Hello everyone,

My name is Alex Baker, and I was born and raised in Metairie, LA. I attended Jesuit High School in New Orleans (class of '09); and while there, I played basketball, wrote for the newspaper (The Blue Jay), and participated in student council. Currently, I am a chemistry major, and I am trying to choose a career path between a pharmacist or a nurse anesthetist. I am leaning more towards the latter.

Perhaps most importantly, I am a die-hard Saints fan! Who Dat! Walking around Loyola, you can easily spot me as the tall guy in the Saints jersey. Drew Brees is my favorite player, but isn't he everyone's favorite player? My second favorite player(s) is a 3-way tie between Malcolm Jenkins, Jon Vilma, and Marques Colston, and my pick for breakout player for next season is 2nd year tight end Jimmy Graham. I am extremely excited about the free agency signing of defensive tackle Shaun Rogers, yet I am equally excited about our 2011 draft class. Yes, I just dedicated a whole paragraph to the Saints. What can I say? I love the team... Who Dat!

My hobbies include (besides the Saints, which is a full time job) playing the guitar, basketball, and XBox. I have a beautiful girlfriend of 4 years (she is also a full time job) who I spend a lot of time with. I have 1 sibling - a sister named Stephanie. She is enrolled in this class also. For the last 2 years, I worked as a waiter at Commander's Palace, but I recently decided to take a little break from work (too many full time jobs). I am scheduled to take 2 classes this summer - English T125 and Biology of Organisms. I drive an '06 Honda Accord. That is all.
